Courageous, “Beautifully Broken” Vulnerable-
NOT-defeated, Stronger, Better, Empowered!
I have always found it easy to be a warrior especially when you have to. Being exposed
and vulnerable is a strength unto its own.
I laughed, I cried, I felt her pain.

Finding A Woman’s Soul and Empowerment
In The Road Beyond Athena, Corie Rebecca pays homage to the influences, both good and bad, that shaped her life and the physical, mental, and emotional struggles that ultimately empowered her to become the wife, mother, and woman that she is today. Drawing on female archetypes of Greek mythology and sound principles of psychology and psychotherapy, the author boldly and brutally confronts her own truths about issues that are at the core of our humanity. And her steadfast determination to avoid the mistakes of her past in raising her four very different children is certainly a story worth telling. Readers will enjoy this fast-paced, poignant, and highly relatable memoir and the universality of its message. A definite thumbs-up! SDJ

A woman’s renewed spirit and the fight to get there
I have just started the book and it’s giving me visions of who I use to be. This book was recommend by a friend for good summer read, but I didn’t expect to be reviewing my life. As I read the visuals in my mind are hard to push back. I don’t know the writer but I feel her, I see her. Now I just need peace and quiet so I can get into the book.
To the author: thank you for saying what’s been locked in my head and heart for years. I looked at the titles of each chapter, now I look forward to your journey…. that never ends.
Thank you so much for the larger print. I enjoy holding and turning the pages of a book and love seeing what I’m reading. Great success to you.
